He brings a strong combination of technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, entrepreneurial leadership and extensive experience serving clients across the financial and corporate sectors.

Mamadou began his professional career with Ernst & Young, where he spent five years as an Audit Manager and Supervisor. He subsequently joined Mazars, where he spent seven years as a Consultant, before serving for two years as Audit Director at PwC Senegal. Throughout his career, he has led complex statutory audits, regulatory reviews and advisory engagements for banks, microfinance institutions, industrial groups and public sector organisations.

As Founder and Managing Partner of Access Audit, Conseils et Stratégies, Mamadou built and led a full-service audit and advisory practice for almost eight years. His responsibilities spanned business development, client relationship management, partner-level engagement delivery, quality control, regulatory compliance and talent development. This entrepreneurial experience has given him a strong understanding of the dynamics of building, managing and growing a professional services practice.

Prior to joining BDO, Mamadou was a Partner at NexAura Associates, where he served as statutory audit signatory for several financial institutions, including credit institutions. He also advised executive committees and senior leadership teams on governance, internal controls, prudential compliance and strategic transformation.

As Managing Partner of BDO Senegal, Mamadou provides strategic and operational leadership to the practice, with a focus on delivering high-quality professional services, strengthening client relationships, developing talent and driving sustainable growth in the Senegalese market.
