Michael Gashumba

Michael is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor, Accredited Quality Assurance Assessor, and holds a Bachelor's degree in International Business from Makerere University. He is a Director in BDO’s consulting practice with over 13 years of experience, where he leads a team delivering specialized services in management consulting, corporate finance, risk advisory, and IT advisory. His areas of expertise include cybersecurity reviews, vulnerability assessments, IT security and controls, IT risk assessments, project assurance, and the development of IT policies and procedures.

In his role, Michael emphasizes a solution-driven approach, ensuring that BDO’s advisory engagements meet established standards and client expectations. Prior to joining BDO, he served as a Senior Manager at KPMG Uganda, leading the advisory team in executing strategic projects across various jurisdictions. His leadership has been pivotal in delivering impactful solutions for clients and driving successful implementations.
