Nehemiah Akong’o

Nehemiah Akong’o is a seasoned Certified Public Accountant with over twelve years of experience specializing in statutory and IFRS audits. He currently serves as a Senior Audit Manager at BDO East Africa, Kenya. A member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Nehemiah is well-versed in International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), bringing a deep understanding of global accounting standards and their application across various industries.

Over the years, Nehemiah has led audit engagements across diverse sectors including manufacturing, tourism and hospitality, technology, medical, logistics, construction, media, and telecommunications. His role involves managing end-to-end audit processes, advising clients on business risks, and ensuring compliance through risk-based methodologies. Nehemiah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Moi University and is known for his commitment to quality, regulatory compliance, and financial transparency.
