Kenneth Makanga

Kenneth is the Managing partner, BDO Uganda and is in charge of the advisory space and quality assurance. His key responsibilities include Building and developing the project teams to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation; leading projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
His clients cover a wide range of corporate companies ranging from Real Estate, Information Technology, Pension (retirement) funds, Financial institutions, hotels, the foods and beverage industry, manufacturing and general business.

Kenneth is an experienced professional with over 16 years of experience in Accounting and Business Advisory services to various clients including several clients in the public sector and private sector space.

Before joining BDO East Africa, Kenneth was responsible for establishing the internal audit function at MTN South Sudan from June 2014 to March 2015. Prior to that, Kenneth was a Manager at KPMG Uganda, he gained experience in auditing  key multinationals in various spaces.

Kenneth provides overall strategic leadership for the BDO in Uganda  and manages relationships with key stakeholders.

EDUCATION             

Kenneth is a qualified Certified Public Accountant and a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) (ACCA). He holds a Bachelors degree in Commerce from Makerere University and a Masters in Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University (Scotland).
